AwareNearth was born in Geneva at a critical moment in history. We saw a world grappling with immense existential threats—from climate change to the rapid pace of new technologies. We also saw an opportunity to learn from recent crises, like the COVID-19 pandemic, and to find a new way forward.

Our mission is to confront these challenges with a unique perspective: one that is grounded in hope and trust in our collective and intergenerational wisdom.

Our journey begins with the September Pact for the Future, a pivotal engagement that allows us to immediately accelerate our efforts across its five core themes. By focusing on these key areas, we aim to make a tangible breakthrough and pave a path of positive action for all.

“We have the science, the means, the people, and the institutions to navigate all kinds of existential threats, whether they are natural, man-made, or unknown. We can construct resilience and reduce anxiety for ourselves and for future generations. What we lack today is a shift in our individual and collective mindsets—a willingness to face the realities of today and the challenges of tomorrow in a more hopeful and optimistic manner.”
