AwareNearth is launching a global partnership structure to collect high-impact, visual testimonials—both on-site and online—from 2026–2029, leading up to the close of Agenda 2030.
Focusing on five critical questions related to existential threats, this project spans all global biomes and anthromes. The resulting physical and digital Legacy will allow future generations (by mid-century) to look back at the critical worldviews and decisions that shaped 2050.
resilience
AwareNearth is collaborating with artist Nat Cardozo to create "Resilience," a unique book illustrating the 17 existential threats through the art of pyrography.
More than 50 global experts are contributing their worldviews on these threats. Designed for readers 16 and up, the book aims to build resilience and reduce anxiety by offering a holistic understanding of these challenges and actionable solutions.
The original pyrography illustrations and texts will travel to art galleries and conferences. This unique exhibition will foster discussion and contribute to a vital change in mindset on existential threats, especially in connection with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
EARLY AWARENESS
Inspired by the unique engagement of international partners like UNICEF, UNEP, and WWF, and grounded in the expertise of the IUCN, ONE EARTH, and the Anthroecology Lab, our pilot engages children aged 5 to 8.
This initiative challenges them to co-create an interactive map that explicitly bridges their natural biomes with the human-modified anthromes where they live. Using this expert guidance, children identify local species of cultural importance and those facing a critical need for preservation.
The goal of this 12-month project is to foster a positive, lifelong awareness, helping children build a harmonious relationship with the natural world. The resulting pilot map, available in both physical and digital formats, is designed to be adapted by schools around the world to connect students and build stories around the possibility of achieving balance between civilization and nature.
SHARING EMOTIONS
AwareNearth invites people globally to join the "Future is in Our Hands" Challenge! Across all global biomes and anthromes, we are building this mosaic of emotion during our pilot phase. This project empowers each person to share their emotion regarding existential threats and a changing world, creating a powerful collective legacy.
The final mosaic will be prominently displayed at the UN General Assembly in New York in September 2026.
